Sr.Rositta SD (Rosy) was born as the fifth daughter out of 7 children of Chacko and Clara, Kuzhikkattumyalil in the St.Mary’s parish of Karimannur in the diocese of Kothamangalam. A family rich in divine vocations. Sr.Justin SD, Sr.Beatrice SD, Sr.Sosima SD are her sisters. After High school education, she joined Chunangamveli as a candidate in 1954 and took her first vows in 1956 and her final vows in 1961. She completed her nursing studies in 1960. She rendered selfless service in Malayattoor, Ernakulam, North Paravur, Aluva and Muvattupuzha Government Hospitals and in Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kozhikode Medical Colleges as a staff nurse, head nurse and nursing superintendent. She has won National and International Awards in the field of healthcare. Evenafter her retirement, she rendered selfless service at Chethippuzha St.Thomas, Pazhanganad Samaritan, Mundakkayam Medical Trust, and Coonoor Sagayamatha Hospitals. Sr.Rositta, who rendered selfless and loving service, was a devotee of the Rosary. Since 2017, she underwent an operation due to heart disease and then led a life of rest at Provincial House. On July 29, 2024, as her health condition was very bad, Rev.Fr.Martin Thypparampil came from Chethippuzha Hospital and prayed for her. At 10.45 pm, that holy soul peacefully departed to be with God the Father. May her soul rest in peace!
