Sr.Possenthy (Rosakutty) was born as the youngest of six children, on 8 Feburary, 1925, atcMarangoli, Pala diocese. Her parents were, late Mr.Joseph Arisseril and late Mrs Catherine. Sheclost her mother at a very young age. She was professed on 6 January, 1948 and Perpetual Profession on 24 April, 1954. Sr.Possenthy was a simple, humble and loving person who had great concern for the poor people. She got help for the poor children from the rich people and also from abroad. Mt.25:40 was the guiding principle of her life. She rendered service in places like Chunangamvely, Aluva, Vaikom, Peringazha, Malayattoor, Perumanur, Oonnukal, Suhruthsadan, Podippara, Thiruvananthapuram and Provincial House, Chethipuzha. Her contribution in the construction of the Provincial House, Chethipuzha is admirable. There were a number of problems during construction time, but she could solve it very amicably and peacefully. She served as local superior, General Procurator, Provincial Councillor and Provincial Auditor. Hers was a sharing and encouraging personality. She had a child-like trust in God and loved simple life style. She enjoyed community life and was ever ready to act any role on the stage on feast days. Three years before her demise, Sr.Possenthy had a stroke, and from then on, her health deteriorated. She had dementia and weakness of body parts. Inspite of all these she was contented and grateful to God and the Congregation for everything. For three weeks
she was unconscious, and on 19 December, 2010, on a Sunday, at 11.15am, amidst the prayers and chanting of the sisters and her dear ones she bade farewell to this world. Dear Sr. Possenthy, may heaven reward you!
