Sr.Grace (Innamma) was born at Cheruvandoor, Changanassery Archdiocese. Her parents were lateMr.Ouseph and late Mrs.Mariam. She was born on 11 November, 1926 and had a younger brother also.Inspite of strong opposition from her parents she joined SD convent, Chunangamvely, on 28 June, 1943.Her First Profession was on 1 May, 1945 and Perpetual Profession on 06 June, 1954.By nature, Sr.Grace was quiet, jovial and always had a smiling face. She had great devotion to the Merciful Jesus and served the poor and needy, seeing the face of Jesus in them. She was a contented person and respected the superiors and others.Soon after the first profession, she was sent to General Hospital Ernakulam to study compounding. Sr.Grace was the first pharmacist of our Congregation. Along with the medicines she used to give a lot of love and compassion to the patients. She worked at places like Chunangamvely, Ernakulam, Thuravoor, Chempu, Karukutty, Malayattoor, Nellimattam, Kanjoor, Meloor and Peringamala. Her patient endurance and life of asceticism was exemplary. She was a person of prayer and smiling service. As days went by once she was down with fever, was admitted in Samaritan Hospital, Pazhanganad where doctors diagnosed that she had jaundice. The treatment continued in the mean time. She received the Sacrament of the Sick and on 26 January, 1988, at 7.15pm, she breathed her last. Her body is buried at Chunangamvely.
