Sr.Emirit (Celine) was the fourth of six children of her parents, late Mr.Sebastian Pannivelil and late Mrs.Thresiamma. She was born at Cheruvandoor, Changanassery Archdiocese, On 6 November, 1936. She made her First Profession on 6 January, 1961 and Perpetual Profession on 5 May, 1965. Late Sr.Catherine SD was her aunt, late Sr.Marceline SD is her sister and Fr.Cyriac Pannivelil CMI is her brother. Sr.Emirit was a true mother to the destitute and downtrodden. Her commitment to them was praiseworthy. She had a great leadership quality and was a person of deep prayer. She was a simple and humble person. She showed her aesthetic quality wherever she lived. She was superior in eleven places and she had been in the convents, Chunangamvely, Muvattupuzha, Malayattoor, Chemmanathukara, Madras, Perumanur, Palode, Munchirai, Pala, Chellarcovil, Pazhanganad, Sennathur and Kottangal. She loved the sisters and attended each one personally. She was very zealous in her mission and hard working. Her last community was the Provincial House, Chethipuzha. Due to the ailments of old age she was resting at Santwana in the Provincial House. She was a contented person with a grateful heart and pleasant appearance. For a few days she was admitted in St.Thomas Hospital, Chethipuzha due to some stomach problem and the scan result showed nothing special. Then she started becoming weak and fragile. On 8 March, 2019, she passed away quietly, receiving the Sacrament of the Sick from her own brother Fr.Cyriac Pannivelil CMI. Dear Sr. Emirit, you were fully commited in your life.
