This convent was established on 5 June 1993 in the Mar Sleeva Parish of Chellarkovil, a high range area in Idukki District, as invited by Rev. Fr.George Kottadikunnel, to give leadership in the pastoral activities of the parish. A Nursery school and Dispensary were functioning well in the initial years when there were only meagre conveyance facilities for the common folk. Later we closed down the dispensary because of rigid Govt. Regulations.Sisters try to strengthen the faith of the parish community through their pastoral ministries like family visits, prayer meetings etc. Srs. Marceline (Superior.), Jancy, Keerthana and Roseline Elavanal were the pioneers. Sr. Roseline was working as a High School teacher in the schools of Kanjirapilly Corporate Management in the high range areas. Besides, in the early years our Sisters were also rendering service in the Diocesan Pastoral Centre at Anakkara.
