Sr.Anna Maria (Anna V.F.) was born in the Poonjar Peringalam area of ​​the Pala diocese. Sr.Anna Maria, who was known as Chinnamma, was the fourth daughter of five children of the couple Francis and Mariam. Immediately after passing SSLC, she entered the Chunangamveli SD Congregation as a candidate. She took her first vows on January 6, 1967 and her permanent vows on January 6, 1973.She completed her studies in Radiology from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. She served as a radiographer in hospitals in Pazhanganad, Chemmanathukara, Delhi-Jeevodaya and Coonoor. She also served as a Superior in the communities of Coonoor and Belthangady, Provincial Auditor, Provincial Councillor, Province House Animator and General Auditor. She was also a good farmer with deep faith and prayer spirit. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 but recovered completely with treatment. In 2022, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She moved forward with treatment and prayers and consciously received the anointing of the sick. On April 20, 2024, that holy soul was called to heaven for eternal rest. May her soul rest in peace!
