Sr.LimaRose SD- Ponnamma Njaralakattu was born on Dec. 30, 1947 at Poonjar Payyanithottam village in Pala Diocese.  Her parents were Mr. Joseph and Mrs.Elizabeth. Ponnamma was the second out  of seven children, the only sister for six brothers! After SSLC, she joined SD  Convent , Chunangamvelly ; made her first profession on Jan 6, 1971 and final  commitment on Jan.6,1977. From then she served at different places like  Vijobhavan – Thrikkakara, Suhrthsadan  Chunangamvelly, Kasauli,(Simla Hills), Jagadhiri (Haryana); Chincholi, Kothumudy, Thandalam, St.Johns  Hospital- Bangalore, Perambur, Chennathur, Sennathur, Thirumullavayal,  Varthattu Kavumkandam and Pala. By then she had already taken training in  social work from Navanirmana Institute, Madras. Sr.LimaRose had great  fidelity to her call and had an ardent desire to help the poor and the needy  destitute. She had a motherly heart and masterly mined… a calm, pleasant  nature she was courageous also. Her hospitality needs special mention. Daily, at  4 o’clock in the morning she used to get up and pray to her beloved spouse,  gathered strength to work for the rest of the day! She enjoyed community life thoroughly…was a good cook too. As days, months and years went by in 2012 she was diagnosed as having  cancer! In 2020 when she became serious, for continued treatment and rest was brought to the provincial House. She spent her days at Santwana. Then one day  suddenly she became serious and received the sacrament of the sick. In the  presence of Mother DeepthiJose and sisters, amidst prayers and chanting she  said good bye to this world on Oct. 25, 2022 Monday. May her soul rest in peace.
