Sr.Julia (Mariamma) was born on 1 March, 1938, as the youngest of three children of late Mr.Devasia and late Mrs.Annamma of the Kottathil family, at Arumanoor, Changanassery Archdiocese. She passed SSLC and entered SD Chunangamvely in 1960. Her First Profession was on 6 January, 1962 and Perpetual Profession on 31 May, 1966. Sr.Tesslin SD is her niece. Sr.Julia was orderly in life, was a Hindi teacher and musician. She had a pleasant nature and was compassionate and caring. She served as accountant and correspondent also in the Congregation.  he was a staff at NBCLC, Bangalore, for some time. She rendered her service at Chunangamvely, Thuravoor, Perumanur, Karukutty, Meloor, Pazhanganad, Jagadhiri, Kasauli, Bijnor, Thekkekara, Kodinattukunnu, Pala, Mercy Home, and the Provincial House. From 2018 onwards she was leading a life of rest at Santhwana due to asthma. She used to get admitted inSt.Thomas Hospital, Chethipuzha now and then. She was contented and grateful to the care and concern and loving service given to her. On 18 May,2019 morning, at 6.15am, she quietly passed away. Prior to that, she had received the Sacrament of the Sick consciously. Dear Sr.Julia, you loved the Congregation, lived a happy life and had a peaceful death!
