Sr.Electa (Rosamma) was the fifth of twelve children, of late Mr.Francis Thonippara and late Mrs.Rosamma. She was born on 12 May, 1939 at Marangattupally, Pala diocese. After SSLC, on 28 May, 1958, she joined SD Chunangamvely. She made her First Profession on 6 January, 1960 and Perpetual Profession on 30 May, 1965. Late Sr.Visitation SD and Sr. Nayomi SD are her sisters and Sr.Navita SD is her niece. Sr.Electa was sent to Madras for General Nursing Course. After completing the studies she started her service at Karukutty and continued it at Malayattoor, Kanjoor, Coonoor and Chethipuzha. She had also been at Chunangamvely, Vazhakulam, Madras, Thottumugham, Ernakulam, Mercy Home and Provincial House, Chethipuzha. She rendered a pleasant and responsible service wherever she worked. She had good family spirit and sense of belongingness. She showed great concern for the poor and needy. She used to get up early in the morning and spend long time in prayer. She served at St.Thomas Hospital, Chethipuzha, in the operation theatre for 33 long years. She went on doing good to others. She was humble and grateful in life and service. She spent her retired life in the Provincial House, Chethipuzha. On 3 October, 2018, Sr. Electa went to Chethipuzha Hospital and met the doctors and staff and said bye to all. On her way back, stopped at Mercy Home, met the sisters and inmates and did the same. She came back to the Provincial House, continued the daily schedule and after night recreation, felt some discomfort. All came for her aid, and in the midst of prayers and presence of everybody, she quietly left for her eternal home. May Almighty God reward you for your dedicated service.
