Sr.Alice (Annie) was the fifth of seven children, of late Mr.Lonappan and late Mrs.Mariamma of Pynadathu family. She was born on 26 November, 1943, Karukutty. After the high school education she joined SD convent Chunangamvely. On 6 January, 1962 she made her First Profession and Perpetual Profession on 31 May, 1966. Late Srs. Ploycarp CMC and Ephrem CSN are her sisters. Sr.Alice was very hard working and had a simple, humble, loving and quiet nature. She was a person of simple living and high thinking. She worked in various places like Chunangamvely, Chemmanathukara, Thuravoor, Kothumudy, Nanchnad, Podippara, Konthuruthy and Varthattu. She spent a major part of her life time at Kothumudy, among the ‘Badugas’. They were uncultured, illiterate tribals. She lived as one among them and they were very fond of her. There, she could spread the fragrance of Jesus the compassionate Saviour among them. She worked in the dispensary and also in the convent tirelessly. She took care of the flower garden as well as vegetable garden in the convent premises. She slowly developed a sort of headache that became severe, in course of time. In 1990, she was to be having brain cancer, at Medical College Hospital, Kottayam. Consequently, she became bedridden. She consciously received the Sacrament of the Sick and on 18 March, 1995, at 1.25 pm, she left for her eternal reward!
